About the project

During my work at NDR in Hamburg, I created an animation film about brain cells for the science TV show "W wie Wissen". The task was to animate a camera flight through a child's brain. The viewer sees how brain cells connect with each other — a process that illustrates neural development in childhood. The animation shows the brain cells with their branches and synapses, connecting step by step into a network. The camera flight guides the viewer through this microscopic world, making the complex biological process visually comprehensible.
